Job Description

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND MEDICAL SERVICES

30. County HIV/AIDS and STI Program Coordinator-JOB GROUP ‘N’– (1 Post)

Duties and responsibilities

a. planning of HIV services at the county and sub-county level
b. Coordinate with the private and NGO sector in the county to ensure quality and consistence flow of date through the health records information office.
c. Keep and inventory of all sub county AID/STI control coordinators and shall supervise and oversee activities carried out by the SCASCOs in the sub counties.
d. Maintain an update inventory of health services and partner institutions supporting HIV/AIDS activities in the county.
e. Oversee and Coordinate HIV/STI prevention/care and treatment services in the county both at the facility and community level.
f. resource mobilization of HIV related activities
g. Enforce compliance with existing HIV/STI strategies, guideline, polices and curricular both in public and private sector.
h. in collaboration with the county pharmacist the other relevant officers shall ensure each sub county has all relevant HIV related commodities and are efficiently managed.
i. Ensure timely reporting on HIV/STI related activities at the county and national level.
j. in collaboration with the CHRIO ensure regular data quality assessment and funding are shred widely
k. Any other duties delegated by head of division.

Minimum qualifications:
a. Must have served in Job Group M for a minimum period of 3 years or it’s equivalent
b. Must be a holder of a bachelor’s degree in health sciences.
c. Specialization HIV/AIDS is desirable.
d. Must be registered with the relevant regulatory body with active and valid practicing license.
e. Must have demonstrated leadership and good performance in the previous assignments
f. Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution is an added advantage
g. Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution is an added advantage

All applicants Must fulfill Chapter six of the constitution requirement
Salary Scale: The salary, allowances and other benefits attached to these positions will be as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission and other recognized CBAs as applicable.
Terms of Service: All the above posts shall be on a three (3) year contract term renewable based on satisfactory performance.
