Job Description

The Nyayo Tea Zones Development Corporation was established through a Legal Gazette Notice No. of as a State Corporation with the aim of promoting forest conservation by providing buffer zones of tea and assorted tree species to check against human encroachment into the forestland.

Job specification

Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:

Driving vehicles safely and as authorized. Maintaining cleanliness of the assigned vehicle Carrying out routine checks and minor mechanical repairs of the vehicles. Detecting and reporting vehicle defects on time. Observing and complying with the Traffic code of conduct and local authority by laws. Maintaining all requisite documents and tools for the vehicle assigned, security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road, passengers, and goods therein.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) D plain; A valid driving license for any class of vehicle assigned to drive; Certificate of Good Conduct; Certificate in Suitability Test Trade test; Certificate in Basic First Aid Training; and Proficiency in computer applications skills.
