7. Driver III, JOB GROUP ‘D’ (CPSB 15) FORTY TWO (42) POSTS ADVERT NO. 98/2020
Terms of Service : Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary : Kshs. 14,610 – Kshs. 16,250 p.m.
House Allowance : Kshs 2,375 p.m
Commuter Allowance : Kshs 3,000 p.m

a) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must be in possession of:
i. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade D (Plain);
ii. A valid Driving License free from any current endorsements for classes of vehicles one is required to drive;
iii. Certificate in First Aid course lasting not less than One (1) week
iv. Passed suitability test for Driver Grade III; and
v. At least two years driving experience.
b) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Driving a motor vehicle as authorized;
ii. Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical, brake systems, tyres pressure;
iii. Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicle systems;
iv. Maintenance of work tickets for vehicles assigned;
v. Ensuring security for the vehicle on and off the road;
vi. Ensuring safety of the passengers and/or goods therein; and
vii. Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.
