Position Summary
The Ambulex Emergency Medical Response Dispatcher will be primarily responsible for answering all ASL directed calls and dispatching appropriately, response teams to emergency and referral sites.

What you will do
1. Provide first response services to calls made from communities to ASL
2. Communicate patient status and provide information needed to make a decision on the dispatch of an ambulatory vehicle.
3. Triage calls and enter accurate data into the dispatch computer system.
4. Constantly monitor the system ensuring units are en route to post moves in a timely fashion and making sure other units are within an acceptable distance from post.
5. Identify and report field performance concerns to the Senior Coordinator- Emergency Medical Response
6. Interact with field units professionally over the phone and radio using proper etiquette and utilizing excellent customer service skills.
7. Receives incoming calls, promptly ascertain proper levels of response, and allocate resources to match dynamic system demands.
8. Complete and submit daily status reports, including response time exceptions, response compliance, and unusual incidents, i.e. complaints, accidents, injuries, call-offs, etc.
9. Performs all duties and functions of the Communications Center.
10. Performs other related tasks and duties as assigned.

You will offer:
1. Be a young person living within Nairobi
2. A Certificate/ Diploma in Emergency Medical Training, with specialization training in dispatch from a recognized institution
3. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience providing EMR services in Kenya
4. Experience working within low-income settings will be an added advantage.
5. Be registered or a member of the Kenya Council for Emergency Medical Technicians.
6. Ability to work under a stressful Environment.
7. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
