Terms of Service : Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary : Kshs. 38,270 p.m. – 51,170 p.m.
House Allowance : Kshs. 7,500 p.m.
Commuter Allowance : Kshs. 5,000 p.m.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
i. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Environmental Science, Environmental Conservation and Natural Resource Management, Environmental Conservation, Environmental Education, Environmental Health, Environmental Horticulture and Landscaping, Environmental Law, Environmental Management and Conservation, Environmental Resource Conservation or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution; and
ii. Certificate in Computer Applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
i. Collect and collate data and information related to environmental conservation and protection;
ii. Participating in awareness creation and advocacy;
iii. Field inspections;
iv. Approval of EIA and EA reports;
v. Rehabilitation, restoration and conservation of degraded catchment areas and river basins;
vi. Pollution prevention and control;
vii. Enforcing compliance with environmental laws, regulations and standards;
viii. Preparation of progress reports; and
ix. Conflict resolution.
