Position Description
The Senior Trainers will report to the Project Manager and serve as Valiant’s lead on curriculum development and training implementation. The Senior Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering training to partner nation military forces to build individual sailor proficiency in Environmental Responsibility and Hull Preservation specially:
Protection and prevention of loss of life, accidents, and occupational diseases through safe working conditions Proper disposal of hazardous materials Preventing and managing oil spills Hull painting techniques Prevention and repair of hull chipping De-rusting procedures Weatherproofing methods Corrosion prevention strategiesPosition Requirements
A minimum of two years of directly related experience training foreign military personnel either while on Active/Reserve duty or as a civilian contractor. At least five years of military experience as a senior maritime maintenance technician or engineer (E-8 or above). A minimum of two years serving overseas in a military or contract role. A minimum of one year of directly related experience developing POI or course curricula. A native English speaker or DLPT 3/3 (or ILR equivalent).Location: Ghana
