Farm Hand - Kisumu/Siaya

Prestige Agriculture is seeking a hard-working and reliable Farm Hand to assist in the day-to-day operations of the farm. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to help maintain the farm, including planting and harvesting crops, caring for livestock, and operating farm equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Plant, cultivate, and harvest crops, including vegetables, fruits, and grains
• Feed and care for livestock, including cows, sheep, and chickens
• Operate and maintain farm equipment, including tractors, ploughs, and cultivators
• Assist with the repair and maintenance of farm buildings and infrastructure
• Follow safe and efficient work practices to ensure the safety of both the workers and animals
• Assist with the loading and unloading of supplies and products
• Perform routine checks on equipment and report any issues to the Farm Manager
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols
• Any other tasks as assigned by the Farm Manager

Requirements:

• Certificate in General Agriculture
• Prior experience in a farming environment preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate farm equipment, including tractors, ploughs, and cultivators
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Good communication skills
