FIXED DATA ENGINEER

•  Survey, Installation, Integration, Maintenance, support and decommissioning of fixed data services using various technologies – Wimax, Fiber, Microwave and Wi-Fi.
•  Planning and supervision of fixed data installations
•  Compilation of installation and integration reports
•  Completion of installations to customer satisfaction and obtaining customer sign off
•  Lead assigned team to ensure projects are completed within required timelines and according to industry standards
•  Planning and scheduling for preventive maintenance
•  Any other responsibilities as will be assigned.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills

•  Working experience of at least 3years in Fixed Data Network, GSM technology & Radio Microwave installations
•  Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Telecommunications Engineering
•  Certifications in CCNA, CCNP, HCNP, LTE, 5G, P2MP
•  Solid experience in Cisco and Huawei Enterprise switches installation & Configuration
•  Proven track record of successful installation and expertise in following areas:

o Fibre splicing, termination & testing and installation of Fibre to the building - FTTB.

o E1s – corporate direct connection (CDC) and configuration of the PABX to E1service

o Unified communication - Cisco switch configuration

o IP based microwave link installation & commissioning – point to multipoint installation and commissioning

o Wi-Fi networks

•  Certifications in Fiber, IOT, Cyber security, AWS, SDWAN IE, Fortinet, Sophos or equivalent are highly desirable.
•  Training and certification in working at Height
•  Ability to lead a team
•  Experience in driving both Manual & Automatic vehicles. Should have a valid Driving License; and Defensive driving certification is highly desirable.
•  Ability to work under pressure
•  Excellent customer management and communication skills
•  Ready to work in any region within Kenya
