Job Title: Food Technologist
Location: Kisumu, Kenya
Salary: KES 18,000 Gross
Reporting To: Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
● Conduct incoming quality inspection of raw materials (cereals, packaging materials, etc.)
● Oversee quality assurance processes for finished products to ensure they meet internal standards and regulatory requirements
● Assist in maintaining and improving food safety systems and documentation
● Work closely with the Operations Manager to troubleshoot quality-related issues and ensure continuous improvement
● Monitor hygiene and sanitation in the production area
● Support the development of new products or improvements in packaging and shelf life
Requirements
● Diploma or Degree in Food Science & Technology, Food Processing, or related field
● 1–2 years of hands-on experience in food quality assurance or related role (experience in cereals preferred but not mandatory)
● Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP)
● Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and good communication skills
● Self-driven, organized, and able to work in a startup environment
