Our client in Nairobi, Kenya is currently looking for a GM of Commercial and Technical Poultry Sales to join their team in the FMCG industry. T he GM will be responsible for achieving the annual sales revenue budget by designing and managing an effective demand creation (marketing) and demand supply (route to market) strategy. The GM optimises pricing, channel mix, product mix, and staff costs within mandated levels to maximise EBITDA and has data-based understanding of the market, competitor activity and customer / consumer behaviour. The ideal candidate will have experience in poultry science and/or breeder hatcheries.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the application and implementation of key commercial activities. Responsible for achieving Financial KPI’s as set out in the KE annual budget. Responsible for leading, managing & developing a high performing Sales and Marketing team aligned with Company HR Policy, Values & Behaviours Ensures sales and marketing department complies with company QA, SHE, (Good Hygiene Practice) and all other company SOPs & deadlines. Implements Company corporate risk controls & ensures compliance with legal & company requirements. Responsible for all maintenance, upkeep, security and general appearance of the Sales and Marketing Department’s infrastructure, assets, equipment & stocksRequirements:
Experience Requireda. Experience in Commercial – FMCG specifically; Sales, Marketing, Route to Market, Merchandising and Logistics, and Poultry Science
Experience with GPS Poultry Breeder Farms, Poultry Technical Sales a must b. Understanding the income statement and driving the profit number
c. Team Leadership: Relevant experience leading teams with a diverse level of capability and experience
d. Work Environment: Working in a structured and metric based environment.
a. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Products including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneNote. Core Competencies Required
