QUALIFICATIONS

·        Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education from a recognized college /University or Qualified P1 teacher from a recognized college

·        CBC competent

·        Assertive discipline competent

·        More than two years work experience

·        Experienced in teaching grade 4 math under the CBC curriculum

·        Dedicated and God fearing Christian

 GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Duties and Responsibilities of the teacher will include but not limited to:

•         Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences

•         Develop schemes of work and lesson plans

•         Prepare classroom for class activities & be able to use relevant technology to support instruction

•         Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment

•         Observe and evaluate student's performance and development

•         Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments

•         Prepare required reports on students and activities

•         Perform certain pastoral duties including student support, counselling students with academic problems and providing student encouragement

•         Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, clubs and student organizations

•         Participate in department, school meetings, parent meetings and scheduled trainings

•         Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities

•         Communicating, consulting and co-operating with other members of the school staff, including those having posts of special responsibility and parents/guardians to ensure the best interest of students

•         Any other duty assigned by the supervisor
