Job Summary

Our client a leading chain of multi-specialty hospitals is looking for a Gynaecologist & Obstetrics to join our expanding primary care team and provide patients with high-quality treatment.

  • Minimum Qualification:Bachelor

  • Experience Length:3 years

Job Description/Requirements

The ideal candidate is responsible for managing clients for reproductive health both in the inpatient and outpatient.

Key Requirements:
•    Managing of clients for reproductive health both in the inpatient and outpatient.
•    Admitting patients requiring special care followed by investigations and treatment.
•    Examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions.
•    Carrying out specific procedures, e.g. performing operations and specialist investigations.
•    Making notes and preparing paperwork, both as a legal record of treatment and for the benefit of other healthcare professionals.
•    Performing annual and regular examinations on patients to diagnose various gynecological conditions.
•    Advising patients on suitable birth control options.
•    Explaining test results, diagnoses, and treatment options to patients.
•    Performing various diagnostic tests on patients, which include Pap smears, STD tests, ultrasounds, hormone profile blood tests, colposcopies, and endometrial biopsies.
•    Explaining test results, diagnoses, and treatment options to patients.
•    Provide advice to patients regarding healthy lifestyles and specific measures that may help the patient avoid a recurrence of ill health.

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor of medicine or any other equivalent qualification
•    Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
•    Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
•    A valid medical practicing license
•    Ability to discuss sensitive information with patients and families.
•    Ability to provide a calm presence for patients in distress.

Monthly Gross Salary: Negotiable
