We are looking for a hotel cook to prepare food for guests, ensuring that it meets food safety standards and the hotel's policies.
The cook will also be responsible for managing food inventory and ordering supplies.
Responsibilities
· Prepare food: Follow recipes, measure ingredients, and cook food using a variety of methods
· Maintain food safety: Ensure food is safe to eat by following sanitation and hygiene standards
· Manage inventory: Order supplies and monitor inventory levels
· Present food: Garnish and arrange dishes to make them visually appealing
· Clean work area: Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including washing dishes and utensils
· Operate kitchen equipment: Use ovens, grills, broilers, and fryers to cook food
· Meet guest requests: Accommodate special requests from guests
· Follow recipes: Adhere to recipes and cooking instructions
· Maintain quality: Ensure food meets quality standards
Additional responsibilities for a hotel chef Develop recipes and menus, Instruct cooks and other staff, Oversee kitchen staff, Ensure consistent quality, and Work with the manager.
