Job Description/Requirements
Job Purpose
To support the Operations Director in all HR related matters to ensure highly motivated employees, highly productive and disciplined workforce. You will be responsible for administrative tasks and contribute to making the company a better place to work.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement the HR policies and procedures.
- Support day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment plans.
- Ensure the recruitment of qualified personnel in line with project timelines and company requirements.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
- Promote a positive workplace culture by organizing team-building activities and engagement programs.
- Support the resolution of employee conflicts in alignment with company policies and labor laws.
- Ensure the company adheres to labor laws, health, and safety regulations specific to the construction industry.
- Identify training needs and organize relevant programs, including health and safety training for construction workers.
- Maintain an up to date data base of casual labourers and sub-contractors.
- Manage payroll inputs, leave tracking, and employee benefits administration.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of HR metrics and workforce data.
- Maintain HR records and ensure confidentiality of employee information.
- Collaborate with the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) team to promote safe practices on construction sites.
- Support managers in conducting performance appraisals and setting measurable goals for employees.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving employee well-being and workplace safety.
- Liaise with all sites for staffing needs and deploy casual staff in a timely manner for smooth site operations.
- Leave Management & attendance administration
- Any other duties that may be assigned to him/her by the Directors.
Requirements
- Diploma in HR or it’s equivalent in the relevant field.
- Three years experience in HR matters preferably in a construction company.
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.).
- Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
- Strong ethics and reliability.
- Confidentiality and discretionally handling of company and staff information.
- Displays cultural, gender, religion, tribal, and age sensitivity and adaptability.
- Ability to cope and deal with people of differing opinions.
