This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction and hands-on training to students pursuing associate degrees in HVACR Technology, with a focus on ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigerator repairs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HVACR, including electrical technology, and will play a key role in shaping the next generation of HVACR professionals.
- Lead training programs with a specialization in ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigerator repairs.
- Create an immersive learning environment that fosters hands-on experience and critical thinking.
- Develop and maintain course materials, lab exercises, and multimedia resources.
2. Curriculum Development:
- Collaborate with industry experts and partners to ensure the curriculum aligns with the latest HVACR industry trends and practices.
- Participate in curriculum development and revisions to meet industry demands.
3. Student Engagement and Assessment:
- Facilitate student learning, provide eﬀective instruction, and assess student progress.
- Utilize data-informed decision making to continuously enhance teaching methods and learning outcomes.
4. Professional Development:
- Stay current in HVACR technology, electrical systems, and industry advancements by aXending relevant conferences and maintaining required certifications.
- Embrace emerging technologies and pedagogical advances to enhance student learning.
5. Industry Collaboration:
- Foster and maintain relationships with HVACR industry professionals to provide students with real-world insights and opportunities for workforce training.
- Integrate industry best practices and challenges into the curriculum to prepare students for the field.
6. Administrative Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of student grades and aXendance.
- Complete administrative tasks, including course outlines, learning objectives, competency assessments, and related paperwork.
- Participate in the selection of textbooks and other program-related administrative duties.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology or related field is required.
- Minimum of three years of work experience and/or relevant licensure or certifications in HVACR, with a specialization in ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigerator repairs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead specialized HVACR training programs and eﬀectively manage a classroom.
- Strong knowledge of HVACR theory and practical application.
