About the team you are joining

Under the guidance of the Regional Director ExternalAffairs & Sustainability Africa, the incumbent will learn about IATA’sSustainability strategy while supporting advocacy deployment and Sustainabilityactions in the African region. The chosen intern will also learn about theaviation environmental policies

What your day would be like

Support intelligence gathering: monitor, track and report onlegislative initiatives in the African region, and prepare summaries andbriefings; 
Supportthe planning and organization of internal and external meetings, briefings andwebinars. Prepare appropriate presentations and conduct follow-upactions; 
Helpthe team with specific advocacy initiatives or campaigns and monitor theprogress against divisional goals (prepare summaries and reports) andespecially initiatives directed to the project Focus Africa; 
Provideadministrative support to the Regional Director ExternalAffairs & Sustainability Africa and to the team. 

We would love to hear from you if

Recentlyobtained (less than 12 months) a university degree/post-graduate degree inSustainability, Aviation, Political Science, Data Analyst & Economics, Engineering& Business Management or other relevant discipline; 
Excellentadministrative and organizational skills with a strong focus on quality and aneye for details;
Excellentcommunication skills (written and spoken) in English, any additional languagewould be an asset; 
Stronginterpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively andcross-culturally;
Dynamicpersonality, flexible, team oriented, and able to work effectively in afast-paced environment;
Goodknowledge of Microsoft Office.
