SimbaPay is a UK headquartered FinTech business. We provide a branded service for banks & telcos which enables their customers send money abroad instantly.
The candidate will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders, understanding technical requirements, and handling other IT integration-type projects as needed. A leader, who can deliver through a team, can think critically and be a problem-solver with a proven track-record of successfully completing projects. This role will work closely with and report to the COO.
A. Responsible for planning, directing, and managing performance of all internal operations.
B. Identify areas for optimization and improvement at a technical, business, and operational level.
C. Take responsibility for daily operational activities such as partner integrations and incident management.
D. Participate in and/or drive efforts to improve capabilities, process improvement and technology projects.
E. Understand technical integration technologies such as API operations as well as other web and database technologies to facilitate decision-making regarding project requirements.
F. Manage and lead the customer service team and ensure SLA’s are adhered to.
G. Ensure partner financial institutions provide and maintain the service required from an accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency basis.
H. Assist in the ongoing development of business policies, processes & procedures and ensure adherence.
I. Participate in the review, development and testing of new initiatives designed to improve the existing platform.
J. Understand and help to implement and adhere to compliance policies and procedures
A. Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred
B. At least 5 relevant experience with project management experience within the IT sector
C. Will have prior experience working in financial institutions.
D. Experience with start-up and fintech projects
E. Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders internally and outside the organisation.
F. Demonstrate sound leadership and people management skills.
G. Problem solver with ability to multi task, take initiative and perform independently.
H. Ability to form effective plans.
