Job Description

Responsibilities

  1. Profitably grows the businesses market share through acquiring new business from new customers and new applications from existing Key Accounts.

  2. Maintain business with existing accounts.

  3. Will Gather business intelligence(do a market analysis) to understand possible threats and mitigate the same. 

  4. Be presentable and fluent in English.

  5. Has a minimum of 3 years experience with presentation and sales skills

  6. Has an in-depth understanding of office systems and has experience in data capture and utilisation.

  7. Have an understanding of supply chains & logistics

  8. Be Conversant with business risk programmes including insurance, trade finance & compliance

BUDGETARY/FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The Key Account Manager is responsible to grow the business in selected strategic accounts according to set budgets. 


KEY METRICS

  1. Sales Budget in kes.

  2. Profitability measured as percent (%) contribution margin.

  3. New accounts won.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree in sales and marketing, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent through experience)

  2. Experience in supply chain management & logistics

  3. Experience in sales and marketing of consumer goods or related sales.

  4. Have a proven track record of successful market development.

  5. A strong driver for results and success. Shows a passion for the role.

  6. Expert in the value selling process with a good understanding of B-2-B selling process.

  7. Ability to harness and manage important business relationships.

  8. Outstanding commercial and communication skills at all levels of contacts: Executive, Middle Management, Production floor

  9. Understanding of basic financial metrics such as Operating Profit, Margins and Working Capital

  10. Strong oral, presentation and written communication skills

  11. Good analysis capabilities linked to good strategic thinking skills

  12.  Excellent computer literacy

  13. Fluent in the English language.

  14.  Ability to acquire knowledge of the business within 3-6 months.
