Overall Job Purpose
Responsible for the design and maintenance of outdoor spaces whilst working with Organix products to plant a variety of plants, trees, grasses, shrubs, and other vegetation so as to create beautiful and functional spaces that people can enjoy whilst considering the environment.
Department: Landscaping Department
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer
Direct reports: Special Projects, Landscaping Admin, Landscapers
Key Responsibilities
• Organix Ltd products knowledge and understanding of how to use each product and for what purpose
• Knowledge of major pests and plant nutrient deficiency, their symptoms, and their mitigation
• Planning, designing, and implementing landscaping projects, such as designing gardens, installing irrigation systems, or creating lawn mowing schedules
• Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants as needed
• Estimating costs for labor and materials needed for projects, and estimating the time required to complete projects
• Provide advisory services to maintain the health and appearance of all landscaped projects, following Organix limited standards and relevant environmental regulations
• Ensuring that the grounds are safe by identifying any potential hazards and taking appropriate measures to eliminate them
• Maintaining inventory of supplies, equipment, and machinery needed for work activities
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management
• Develop and adhere to budgets for all landscaping projects
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Conducting performance appraisals of the Landscaping Department and providing timely feedback on strengths as well as areas of improvements
• Plan and in conjunction with Directors and COO the department strategy, performance objectives, and annual budgets and ensure achievement
Academic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, landscape architecture, or a related field
• 7+ years of professional experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related field
Professional Qualifications
• Project management certification
• Working knowledge of landscape design software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop
Other requirements (unique/job specific)
• Familiarity with Organix Products and use
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, horticulture, irrigation, and pest control
