Job Title: Leather Designer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Leather Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating innovative and stylish designs for a range of leather products, from bags and wallets to footwear and apparel. The Leather Designer should have a strong understanding of fashion trends, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to create functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Responsibilities:

• Create innovative and stylish designs for a range of leather products, from bags and wallets to footwear and apparel.
• Research and analyze fashion trends to ensure that designs are up-to-date and relevant.
• Collaborate with other team members, including product developers, pattern makers, and manufacturers, to ensure that designs are feasible and can be produced on time and within budget.
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for each design, including materials, colors, and finishes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring that all materials and production processes meet our standards of quality and sustainability.
• Attend trade shows and events to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Manage and maintain design software and tools, ensuring that they are up-to-date and readily available when needed.
• Provide feedback and guidance to other team members, including product developers and manufacturers, to ensure that designs are produced to the highest standards of quality.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new product opportunities and potential growth areas for the company.
• May supervise and train apprentices or other staff members as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in fashion design or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in leather design, with a focus on creating innovative and stylish designs for a range of leather products.
• Strong understanding of fashion trends, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to create functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
