Job Description

The Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA), like most other universities, started in a modest way. It commenced as a graduate school of theology known as the Catholic Higher Institute of Eastern Africa (CHIEA).

Role 

This is a contract role for a Legal Officer at The Catholic University of Eastern Africa located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Legal Officer will be responsible for performing day-to-day legal tasks, including legal consulting, legal document preparation, and contract law. This is an on-site role, and the selected candidate will work in Nairobi County, Kenya.

Business Law and Law skills Legal Consulting and Legal Document Preparation skills Contract Law skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with integrity Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field Experience in the education or nonprofit sector is a plus
