About the role
Burn is looking for a Logistics Manager, who will be responsible for supervising the movement, distribution, and storage of supplies and materials. They are tasked with planning routes, analyzing budgets, and processing shipments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Bid analysis of import and export quotes for inbound and outbound shipments. Track all inbound and outbound shipments and escalate deviations from the plan. Discussion and negotiations with goods carriers about shipment costs. Drive cost saving in logistics Ensure accuracy in all export documents before sharing with stakeholders. Ensure all outbound shipments are cleared at the recipient ports and moved to warehouses to avoid storage, demurrage, and detention charges. Drive cost efficiency and reductions in logistics for BURN Manufacturing. Coordinate and undertake documentation for all inbound and outbound shipments. Complete customs clearances, ensuring full compliance to any levant regulations Coordinate with the distribution team on the use of the company truck and vehicles for reverse logistics for inbound shipments. Establish relationships with all government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure efficient throughput. Undertake filing and proper keeping of records related to inbound and outbound logistics. Keep in touch with changes in government policies and guide BURN in the implementation of the same. Handle freight consolidation, cost analysis, routing, and scheduling logistics. Compile and validate the logistics component and reports of all shipments. Understand the whole life cycle of the shipments. Follow up closely with the clearing and shipping agencies regarding the shipments and delivery of all cargo. Analyze logistics challenges and provide solutions. Meet and surpass set KPIs Any other job KPIs assigned to you by your supervisor.Skills and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics, Fleet Management, or a related discipline. At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory/ management role in logistics and operations, with a strong background in managing end-to-end supply chain processes. Proficient in using ERP systems, with a preference for experience with Microsoft NAV. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting capabilities. In-depth understanding of customs systems and procedures, with experience handling import and export documentation. Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Capable of working independently and making informed decisions, with the ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
