Human Practice Foundation Kenya (HPF) is an international NGO working in Kenya and Nepal with  headquarters in Denmark.  

What we do: We support schools, quality education, and entrepreneurial projects that give children and  their communities the power to create a better future. In partnership with Maasai Mara Wildlife  Conservancies association (MMWCA), we are implementing school projects in the Mara Ecosystem.  

We are looking for an innovative, goal oriented and high energy individual who is laser-focused on  results and has a heart for community matters to take the lead in our school projects. The successful  candidate will work with community schools, partners, local and government officials.  

Purpose: Responsible for the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation and reporting  of the school projects. Coordinating with contractors, MMWCA, schools and other stakeholders to ensure  project goals, standards and timelines are adhered to.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide technical support in the implementation of HPF infrastructure projects.
• Take the lead in maintaining the partnership and collaboration with between HPF and MMWCA.
• Establish and maintain cooperation with the project partners, communities, and other stakeholders.
• Design and implement project workplans, budgets, monitoring and evaluation plans and prepare  project status reports.
• Regularly visit construction sites to carry out assessment/inspection and provide guidance on the  project process to ensure best standards are adhered to.

Requirements:
▪ Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Building & Construction or any other related field.
▪ Proven experience in a similar position /Construction Manager/ Site Engineer on construction projects including schools of 3+ years.
▪ Previous experience in working with school projects and working knowledge of common  construction contracts.
▪ Extensive experience in managing donor related projects.
▪ Previous experience in partnership management with government and implementing partners.
▪ Well-organized, diligent, proactive, and well-disciplined with good communication skills.
