Job Description/Requirements
Job Purpose
The Maintenance Technician will ensure that plant machines and equipment are working properly, safely, and efficiently. The assistant will be required from time to time to test, calibrate, install, repair, inspect manufacturing equipment and monitoring all devices.
He/She will also be required to perform general maintenance on the equipment, plan, and schedule continuous maintenance programs.
This role reports to the HSE Lead/Maintenance Officer.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Ensure to plant machinery are operating effectively and following with repair and replacement where necessary by working with maintenance and operations team.
• Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic and boiler systems.
• Calibrate and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic process controls and measurement instrumentation to approved procedures.
• To develop efficient and effective preventive maintenance programs for all equipment and machines.
• Installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, calibrating, and testing a wide variety of industrial instrumentation.
• Executing preventative maintenance inspections on all instrumentation equipment
• To provide sound technical and engineering maintenance advise for equipment, machines, and facilities improvement.
• To implement ISO/HACCP/DOHSS/NEMA recommendation within the company.
• To facilitate competitive sourcing of cost value engineering services to maximize company returns.
• Involved in evaluation of instrument performance to identify optimization and enhancement opportunities.
• Ensure conformance with environmental and safety requirements commensurate with executing required instrument maintenance or replacement activities.
• Assist the HSE to implement and monitor HSE related activities
• Any other assigned duties.
Qualifications
• A diploma in Electrical Power Engineering/Instrumentation and Control/Mechanical Engineering (Plant or production option).
• At least 3 years’ experience in feed / food manufacturing industry
• Knowledge in feed safety – ISO 22000
• Computer literacy, Data analysis and report
• Good communication skills
