Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in the flour milling industry. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the machinery used in the manufacturing process, ensuring that the equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Operate and maintain roller mills and other milling equipment.
• Inspect machinery to identify potential issues and make necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure that maintenance activities do not disrupt production schedules.

Competencies:

• Strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering
• Familiarity with flour milling equipment and processes.
• Experience working with roller mills and other milling equipment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of milling equipment
• Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols in the manufacturing industry
