Manager, Institutional Sales

Job Summary

Responsible for the marketing and management of corporate and institutional portfolio of products and services to existing and new clients as the primary point of contact at EGM Securities. Acquire, retain and grow a portfolio of corporate/institutional clients, deepen client business relationships, improve share of Client’s wallet with EGM thereby enhancing company revenues and profitability from each client relationship.

Job Description

Reports To: Head of Sales

Official Working Hours:9:00 am – 6:00 pm

Location: Kenya


Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementation of the Company’s Corporate/Institutional strategic plan in line with the overall EGM Securities strategy through identifying and acquiring prospective corporate/institutional clients through market research and analysis and networking.

• Maintain proper client relationship management in order to ensure retention and growth in the Corporate/ Institutional business. Being accountable for the level of quality service provided to the clients within the portfolio being supported in close consultation with operations, customer service departments and all other arms of the company.

• Responsible for maintaining an extensive network of contacts and partners and proactively driving growth for new and already existing clients; including commercial banks, investment banks, investment managers, fund managers, stockbrokerage firms, money managers and other key business.

• Ensuring efficiency in business processes and controls to minimize risk exposure around service level, compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory guidelines.

• Develop and maintain a dynamic business working relationship with the clients, actively identify cross selling opportunities while offering outstanding services and relevant capacity building and education programs.


Skills and Competencies: 

• Strong interpersonal, communication skills, negotiating skills, relationship management and leadership skills;

• Demonstrate ability to develop and maintain corporate/institutional clients portfolio;

• In-depth knowledge of global financial instruments, forex markets, commodity trading and business management issues;

• An established network of contacts with institutions, commercial banks, investment banks, asset managers, stockbrokers and money managers would be highly desirable;

• Demonstrated ability to build and grow a portfolio through networks.


Required Knowledge, Qualifications and Experiences 

• At least 8 years of experience with proven track record of capability and results in Capital Markets Authority or Central Bank of Kenya regulated environment such as corporate/institutional banking relationship role/corporate portfolio /treasury sales management role of which 4 years should be in B2B sales specific role.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Banking or Finance

• Relevant professional qualification.
