Role Purpose:
The role will work with the field based/ sales teams, to ensure that they have the required capabilities to most effectively drive revenue through across all customer segments i.e. responsible for developing the sales training framework and working closely with the Zonal and Shop Managers in the field. To deliver training programs as well as training of trainers. The role will also support go to market operations teams to drive end to end flawless implementation and execution and provide channels insights & thought process when designing Go to Market Strategies.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Sales Training
1. Gather internal and external learning interventions requirements from stakeholders and customer surveys; iidentify site-specific knowledge gaps through observations, focus groups, quality checks, and data analysis and propose specific training topics based on findings.
2. Oversee the development and testing of training content for learning interventions.
3. Work with Zonal and Shop Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and other key stakeholders to identify target audience training needs and deliver learning modules against required training timelines.
4. Plan, monitor and execute the delivery of learning interventions.
5. Articulate and draft actual on field scenarios and share with teams.
6. Conduct regular audits to check compliance to processes and procedures as well as understanding of Telkom products and services.
7. Manage the Sales Training budget.
8. Monitor, track and report on training completion and success metrics.
9. Manage onboarding of sales personnel, coaching and buddy initiatives within the sales team to drive optimal performance.
Customer Channel Management
10. Design and cascade the PICOS (Picture of Store Success) standard for each channel type –in terms of Visibility and Availability of Telkom Products & Services.
11. Involved in briefing the BTL Agencies for POSM design and content, define POS relevance by Channel Type (Customization).
12. Ensure communications are regularly refreshed, and ensure adherence to relevant CA & CBK regulatory guidelines.
13. Build account/channel specific marketing plans to deliver category/brand objectives that are in line with the overall organizational marketing and business plans.
14. In liaison with Territory Managers, develop insights & translate them into business building opportunities for specific CPs, specific regions i.e. identification of loss making sites, problem assessment & planning of making them profitable.
15. Provide Channel input into the Product Innovation Program.
16. Ensure brand standards/brand DNA are adhered to in all market activations.
Academic background & Professional Knowledge:
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or Business Field
• Certified Professional in Training Management/ professional
• 6 - 8 years’ experience in sales and or training development
• Experience working with remote/ distributed teams
