Job Summary
To provide day-to-day marketing activities, mobilization of new accounts and deposit growth to new and existing members. Creates a knowhow of Digital and Social media marketing.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Create awareness of and develop the brand of the Society.
• Communicate with target audiences, build and develop customer relationships.
• Help with marketing plans, advertising, direct marketing and campaigns.
• Support the marketing manager in delivering agreed activities.
• Source advertising opportunities and place adverts in the press or on the radio.
• Work closely with in-house or external creative agencies to design marketing materials such as brochures and adverts.
• Write and proofread marketing copy for both online and print campaigns.
• Produce creative content, including videos and blog posts.
• Run social media channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn) to enhance audience engagement.
• Organise and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions.
• Recruiting new members and following up to ensure they don’t fall into dormancy both individual and corporates.
• Cross selling of Sacco products as per the set targets.
• Support customer service and work closely with other departments on the execution of service delivery.
• Responsible for finding new leads, setting meetings, following up on presentations made and closing sales deals.
• Work closely with the marketing team in arranging for events/promotions for new acquisition of customers.
• Attend relevant Sacco exhibitions and meetings to recruit members.
• Regularly provide feedback to the management on the acceptance of the products in the market and suggest changes that could provide energy to the sales efforts.
• Assist in improving the visibility and brand image of the company.
Job Specifications:
1. Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Co-operative Management, Public Relation or a business related course from a recognized institution.
2. Customer Care training is an added advantage.
3. Deep understanding of digital marketing.
4. A minimum of 1year relevant experience in a busy marketing environment.
5. Prior experience working in the cooperative movement will be an added advantage.
6. Deep understanding of changing market dynamics.
7. Motivation for sales.
8. Ability to uphold professionalism.
9. Microsoft Office proficiency.
10. Outstanding communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
