Summary of Role
TakaTaka Solutions is looking to recruit passionate truck driver collection
The candidate will report to the Logistics manager.

As a Driver : you act as the face of the company to existing and perspective customers whilst driving and operating company vehicles in a safe, responsible and efficient manner; making error free collection of waste from our clients and delivering it in full and on time to our facilities for separating and processing that prevents waste going to landfill. You ensure that vehicle upkeep and maintenance is in accordance to company standards

Company Background
TakaTaka Solutions is a waste management and recycling company. We are engaged in waste collection, material recovery, composting and recycling. We recycle 95% of the waste we collect. We are the largest waste management company in Kenya and have 300 staff.

Specific responsibilities
1.    Operating medium cargo trucks in a safe and professional manner.
2.    Loading, transportation and unloading of waste from point of origin to point of delivery as per instructions.
3.    Basic Customer service - listening to complaints and channeling the information to your immediate supervisor via set up online mechanisms
4.    Adherence to planned routes and following time schedules to meet collection deadlines.
5.    Preparing and maintaining collection records (collection notes, fuel and parts receipts, kilometer logs)
6.    Performing basic Truck maintenance - cleaning at least once a week, following up on service and basic repairs.
7.    Reporting on any trip challenges on the online Driver Collection Update mechanisms set in place
8.    Supervising loaders in their day to day duties

Qualifications:
1.    Hold a valid BCE driving license
2.    Able and willing to travel across the designated regions
3.    A minimum of Secondary School Form 4 certification
4.    At least 3-year experience in driving medium sized loaded trucks in the Greater Nairobi metropolitan area
5.    Sound knowledge of medium sized trucks and basic mechanical checks
6.    Sound knowledge of state requirements, traffic rules, policies and procedures to observe road safety and security

Preferred start date
September 2022
