At Savannah Brands we want to use the awesome produce in Africa to create authentic beverage products through our brand ‘Kenyan Originals’.

We want to do what big companies can’t do; be agile, nimble, get innovations to market quickly.

Based in Kenya, Kenyan Originals is a variety of African craft beverages that include alcoholic fruit ciders, tonics and ice teas.

We are looking for entrepreneurs in the making.  Specifically we need an off trade merchandiser, who has aspirations to be a territory manager, to help build strong customer and consumer relationships..

Purpose of the Job
The merchandiser is accountable for growing Savannah Brands sales by executing the picture of success for KO in the Off Trade
 
Job Content

Merchandising: 6 days a week

•    Maximising visibility in outlets -  through point of sale, displays, improved facings and # of sightings
•    Ensuring availability of the product - Checking out of stock of product portfolio and generating re-orders
•    Maximising visibility in-outlet - through placement in strategic high volume ‘hot spot’
•    Ensure that products are arranged in order of FIFO and there are no short expiries or expiries in any account
•    Pricing – Reporting on pricing and ensuring correct RRP is displayed
•    Competition – reporting back on activations from competition
•    Relationship Building – Building relationships with store managers to ensure out of stock reorders
•    Learnings – Sharing recommendations on how to improve sales growth at outlet level and beyond
•    Documenting all visits in a sales app
•    Complete pre-aligned sales route weekly

New Distribution:
•    Approaching a pre-aligned list of new locations

Additional tasks:
•    Chase a weekly defined list of payments in store
•    Cheque collection at store level

Basic pay will be supplemented with incentives based on KPIs to be shared at start of employment

Requirements:
Retail Experience (+2 Years), English and Kiswahili, Quickmart merchandising experience (not mandatory)
