National Coordination Consultant at UN-Habitat

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme, UN-Habitat, is the UN agency for human settlements. It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all

Responsibilities:

The National Coordination Consultant will serve as a focal point to obtain basic information/data, coordinate with local actors and stakeholders and obtain co-financing letters. She/he should also be responsible for organizing the required stakeholder consultation workshops or bilateral meetings.

Qualifications/special skills

An advanced University degree in economics, engineering, urban development, environmental sciences, business, management, or a related discipline is required. A first level degree with additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree. 3 Year Minimum experience in the field of climate change Urban development, environment and/or development project. Experience in working with the Kenyan national government / institutions is required; Experience working with the UN and/or development agencies is a desirable.
