Role Summary

Strong Start’s Operations Analyst will support operational and administrative functions of the head office. This role is an opportunity for a strong business professional with a passion to support women and children to be a part of a larger workforce development and early childhood care solution.

 

The Operations Analyst must be passionate about women’s workplace advancement and early childhood development as a way to enable women and children in Kenya.  The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and driven team. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Answer and track all incoming inquiries and handle client inquiries, redirect calls as appropriate, take adequate messages and respond effectively to inquiries 
  • Explain products and programmes to families and potential participants through various communications channels –phone, SMS, video and social media
  • Utilize and manage customer contacts through a customer relationship management (CRM) system
  • Coordinate across various departments to ensure incoming and enrolled participants learning needs are adequately served and relevant data is properly captured
  • Work across the company with various teams to continually improve the recruitment and enrolment process
  • Track and reconcile payments and prepare detailed financial reports for the accounting department 
  • Provide assistance with development programs, including budgeting, monitoring and evaluation of programs, and report writing
  • Develop and monitor budgets and conduct financial reports as required
  • Report on budgets to management, donors and investors 

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, finance, or relevant field 
  • 2-5 years business operations experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and speaks with confidence 
  • High level of proficiency with computer programmes (MS Office etc.) and online tools (social media, CRMs, email systems, design)
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment 
  • Strong integrity
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach, strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Goal-oriented, hitting monthly and quarterly goals with the energy and stamina to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team
  • Experience in CRM systems desired
  • Passionate about women’s advancement and children’s education in Kenya
