Part Time Lecturers - Disaster Management and Crisis Response

REGISTRATION OF PROSPECTIVE PART-TIME LECTURERS

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 35 (1) (a) (i) and Section 24 (4) of the Universities Act, 2012 (Revised 2020), the National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to be considered for registration as prospective Part-time lecturers.

NDU- K intends to establish a database for qualified part time lecturers from which lecturers would be drawn as and when required.

JOB DESCRIPTION — PART-TIME LECTURERS
Renumeration:Competitive package as per NDU-K rates
Terms of Service:Part time teaching
Reports to; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs and Research)

Area of specialization
The prospective part time lecturers should have specialization in any the following disciplines;

a.    National Security and Strategy;    d.    Peace and Conflict Studies;
b.    Defence and Strategic Studies;    e.    Disaster Management and Crisis Response;
c.    International Relations;                 f.    Critical Care Nursing.

Qualifications
For consideration for registration as a prospective Part-time lecturer, one must have.:
i. An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university;

ii At least three (3) years of teaching experience at university level

Mode of Application
1.    Candidates may submit manual (hard copy) or electronic (online) applications.
2.    All applications should be submitted together with detailed Curriculum Vitae, a copy of ID/Passport, copies of academic certificates, testimonials and any other relevant supporting documents.
3.    Scanned copies of the stated documents must accompany the online application.
4.    The Curriculum Vitae should include information on academic qualifications, professional experience, leadership and management roles, membership to professional association(s), email address and telephone contacts.
