The position

As a Procurement and Event Specialist at Novo Nordisk, you will be responsible for: Efficiently managing procurement processes, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Overseeing requisition and purchase creation activities, including searching catalogues for goods/services, collecting quotes, and selecting suppliers. Monitoring and optimizing the tactical sourcing process, checking for alternative suppliers and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Utilizing data analysis tools to evaluate supplier performance and support evidence-based decision-making. Responsible for event management of large events with internal and external stakeholders. Working with the respective project teams, you will be responsible for practicalities and procurement related to transportation, venue, venue setup and infrastructure. Qualifications To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field. Strong knowledge of contract enforcement, requisition, and purchasing procedures. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Analytical thinking and the ability to analyze complex data to inform purchasing decisions. Attention to detail and the ability to review and verify procurement documents for accuracy and compliance. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets. Proficiency in utilizing data analysis tools to extract insights and identify cost-saving opportunities. About the departement Novo Nordisk Middle Africa Affiliate (MA) consists of 49 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Novo Nordisk has a well-established presence in Africa and our focus is to sustain the growth of the market and ensuring broad patient access to high quality human insulin and support the people living with diabetes. The Middle Africa management team is based in Nairobi, Kenya and the business operations are regionally managed through our offices in Nairobi, Lagos, Abidjan, and Dakar. You will be part of the Finance & Operations team (finance, logistics and IT) which supports the sales and back-office. You will report to the Head of F&O in Middle Africa, Nairobi.
