Job Description

The Nyayo Tea Zones Development Corporation was established through a Legal Gazette Notice No. of as a State Corporation with the aim of promoting forest conservation by providing buffer zones of tea and assorted tree species to check against human encroachment into the forestland.

Job Specification

Duties and responsibilities will entail assisting in: Fabricating production machines, equipment, parts and spare parts; Installation of machines; Carrying out mechanical works; Production and distribution of utilities (Steam, compressed air, water, hydrant system and Humidification plants); Testing of machines and equipment regarding its functionality; Servicing and maintaining machines, plants and equipment as scheduled ( rollers, CTC, Lithe); and Undertaking mechanical maintenance of machines.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following Engineering disciplines: Mechanical or other relevant qualification from a recognized institution; Registration by Engineers Board of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer; Membership with the Institute of Engineers of Kenya; and Proficiency in computer application skills.
