Job Description

The County Public Service Board of Nyandarua wishes to recruit competent and qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions at the following Departments:

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, COMMUNICATIONS AND ICT


1. Public Communications Officer III, JOB GROUP ‘H’ (CPSB11) TWO (2) POSTS ADVERT NO. 109/2020
Terms of Service : Permanent and Pensionable
Basic Salary Scale : Kshs. 25,470 p.m. - Kshs. 33,950 p.m.
House Allowance : Kshs. 3,200
Commuter Allowance : Kshs. 4,000
Medical Cover : Comprehensive Medical Cover

a) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

i. KCSE Mean Grade C (Plain) with a minimum of C+ in English or Kiswahili
ii. Diploma in any of the following fields: Journalism, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Communications Studies, Media Studies, Science, Business Studies and Marketing or any other relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.

b) Duties and Responsibilities.
i. Assisting in building corporate relations;
ii. Sourcing, collating and developing content on topical issues for internal and external publics;
iii. Undertaking media monitoring;
iv. Assisting in media reviews, briefs, press releases/statements and supplements;
v. Maintaining public relations records and documents; and
vi. Participating in event management.
