Over the years we’ve converted hundreds of containers for a wide range of applications, including shops, homes, catering, office, retail, rental assets, and industrial structures at our manufacturing yard in Nairobi, Kenya. Our team delivers structures 30-50% faster than traditional construction methods ensuring customer satisfaction from initial discussions, ideas, sketches or structural drawings, building, logistics and installation of the final product.JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE Squaring dimensions and abstracting for preparation of Bills of QuantitiesPreparation of specification Preparation of payment certificates and Final AccountsCompilation of tender and contract documents DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare contracts and documentsAssess tenders as per the company’s requirementsSet budget for payment, inventory needs, and materialsAnalyze costs for maintenance and additional building needsTrack changes in plans or construction; update budgetsNegotiate with contractors and subcontractorsHire and document contractors and subcontractorsAct as a liaison between clients and site managers/engineersIdentify potential financial or construction risksAdvise clients on improvements, strategies, and/or estimated costsDocument progress, materials, and reports on projectAdvise on property taxes, regulations, and local lawsSource maintenance costs and facilities management for clientsDevelop and maintain working relationships with contractors and subcontractorsUtilize software to calculate, record, and track inventory and estimatesAnalyze completed projects to determine ROI and compare costsEstimate the quantity and costs of material JOB SPECIFICATIONSA detailed description of the minimum and desirable level of education, professional qualification, experience and personal attributesDESIREDPROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION Bachelor of Quantity Surveying from a Recognized Institution LENGTH & NATURE OF EXPERIENCE 3 Years progressive Experience working in a similar position ADDITIONAL SKILLS·Professional qualification Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.Strong analytical and critical thinking skillsSound knowledge of construction.Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
