Job Summary

Our client in the medical supply industry is looking to hire a Marketer with experience in the medical industry. The Marketer’s main role is to grow the company’s revenue by marketing the company products and services to prospective clients. He/she will also act as an interface between the company and hospitals, providing a feedback mechanism to the organization.

Job Description/Requirements

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Marketing

•    Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective clients to market and create awareness of company products.
•    Acquaint oneself with specific hospital procedures, to establish which personnel to target in the hospital.
•    Conduct presentations/demos to hospital personnel on use of products and company equipment.
•    Do follow up with prospective clients; with an aim of closing sales.
•    Participate in medical conferences and exhibitions/seminars.
•    Assist doctors to assess wounds and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
•    Assist doctors to attend to patients with difficult wounds in hospitals.
•    Assist doctors perform surgeries for wound and trauma patients when required to do so.
•    Provide home-based care to patients where required.
•    Educate patients and their care-givers at home on wound care instructions at home or at work.
•    Follow up with patients to assess progress of wounds.
•    Research on comparative products in the market and advise the company on leverage areas.
•    Ensure proper stocking and movement of stock in your territory.
•    Take full responsibility of company equipment in one’s assigned territory; keep a log of where the machines are.
•    Assess if machines are working as they should/if they are in good condition.

Training:
•    Facilitate Continuous Medical Education for nurses and doctors to ensure they keep abreast with company products and use of company equipment.
•    Train and mentor champions within your assigned territory.

Reporting:
•    Submit daily call logs to the Marketing Director indicating customer feedback.
•    Submit weekly work plans; indicating pipeline and follow ups to be done from previous weeks.
•    Submit weekly report every Friday, indicating the activities of the past week.
•    Any other duties as may be assigned by the Marketing Director.

•    Must possess excellent people skills and be a natural sales person.
•    Should be committed to continuous personal development.
•    Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
•    Ability to learn company-specific software if required.

Formal Education and Professional Qualifications:
•    Must be a registered nurse.
•    Minimum of 3 years prior experience in a clinical role.
•    Must possess prior selling experience.
