Job Title: Regional Manager - Chemicals Sales

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Manager to lead our chemicals sales operations in Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of at least 10 years in chemicals sales, with a strong understanding of the regional market dynamics. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive sales growth, manage key accounts, and lead a team to achieve exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve regional sales targets and expand market share. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships within the chemicals industry. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adjust strategies accordingly.Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team to ensure individual and team goals are met. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.Key Account Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the chemicals industry. Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements. Handle negotiations, contracts, and pricing agreements with major accounts.Operational Excellence:
Oversee the sales operations and ensure efficient processes and workflows. Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products. Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management.Market Expansion:
Identify and explore new markets and segments to drive business growth. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company's products and services. Develop and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and customer engagement.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. A minimum of 10 years of experience in chemicals sales, with a strong network of industry contacts. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel extensively within the region as required.Skills:
In-depth knowledge of the chemicals industry, including market trends, products, and competitors. Strong business acumen and commercial awareness. Proficiency in sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
