Our client is a new off-grid solar company with European Investment backing and has presence in Kenya targeting middle to upper market customer segments with a premium product at competitive prices
They have a vision of creating sustainable energy solutions for the Kenyan off grid market with a strong growth curve and ambitions to rapidly expand.
Our client has retained us to recruit a dynamic and action-oriented Regional Sales Manager (reporting to the CEO) for Western Kenya Region.
• Drive sales across the West Kenyan market
• Build and lead local team to roll-out across Kenya West
• Responsible for building and managing relationship with financial partner
• Enforce a culture of action-oriented sales initiatives and drive hunter mindset for direct employees
• Engagement with various stakeholders
• Develop networks and partnerships with stakeholders.
• 5-10 years senior sales management experience from preferably international companies, ideally with a strong B2C element
• Proven track record scaling up sales
• Hands-on, with a strong operational mindset – and strong attention to sales
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously
• Data driven and fact oriented
• Team player, motivator – experience with building a team from scratch
• Able to build relationships with external partners and institutions in Western Kenya (Knowledge and experience in Western Kenya an preferred)
• Knowledge of the solar market is an advantage
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset, experience with start-ups a clear advantage
