A new restaurant and bar in Kiambu County is looking for a manager to lead in product development, product marketing and execution in order to deliver high-quality experience to patrons and to motivate the staff in service delivery. The manager's key results are revenue growth, cost management, improving profit margins and the overall standards of the facility.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills in all of the three areas; front of house, back of the house and the bar area. You are expected to lead by example and uplift the staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences. You will report directly to the Directors/Company Secretary.
❏ Product development, reviews and feedback
❏ Implement policies, protocols and / or SOPs that will maintain future restaurant operations
❏ Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
❏ Manage customer feedback, while efficiently and accurately responding to customer complaints and suggestions.
❏ Responsible for the inventory in all areas including kitchen, front of house and the bar.
❏ Promote the brand on different platforms of social media and others.
❏ Plan and develop the overall restaurant marketing strategy.
❏ Estimate consumption, forecast requirements and maintain inventory.
❏ Nurture a positive working environment.
❏ Introduce and implement innovative and creative ways to improve productivity and sales.
❏ Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
❏ Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
❏ Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
❏ Coordinate the staff from all the departments to achieve maximum results.
❏ Strong contemporary leadership, motivational and people skills.
❏ 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or a similar role and working under pressure and late hours as may be required from time to time
❏ Extensive food and alcohol (including wine) knowledge.
❏ Experience in event planning and theme nights.
❏ Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
❏ POS proficiency.
❏ Diploma from Utalii College or equivalent will be an added advantage
❏ Aggressive and ambitious personality with hunger for success and growth
