Job Summary

As a Retail Stores Assistant at Going Outdoor Limited, you will be the face of our brand, providing excellent customer service and assisting in the smooth operation of the store. Your primary responsibilities will include helping customers find the right products, managing stock, ensuring the store is well-organized, and supporting day

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:

    • Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a friendly, approachable, and helpful experience.
    • Assist customers in finding products that meet their needs and offer expert advice on outdoor gear, apparel, footwear, and accessories.
    • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns efficiently and professionally.
  • Sales Support:

    • Promote in-store sales and special offers to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Assist customers with product recommendations and cross-selling to ensure they have the right equipment for their outdoor activities.
    • Process transactions, including cash, card, and electronic payments accurately.
  • Stock Management:

    • Assist with the receiving, sorting, and organization of inventory in the stockroom and on the sales floor.
    • Monitor stock levels and report low stock or out-of-stock items to the Store Manager.
    • Ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively, following visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Store Maintenance:

    • Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
    • Ensure all products are correctly labeled and priced.
    • Assist with daily opening and closing duties, including store cleaning and equipment maintenance.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the Store Manager and team members to achieve store targets and deliver excellent customer service.
    • Participate in team meetings, product training sessions, and other activities to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
  • A passion for the outdoors and knowledge of outdoor activities and equipment is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-centric attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as needed.
