Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide a friendly, approachable, and helpful experience.
- Assist customers in finding products that meet their needs and offer expert advice on outdoor gear, apparel, footwear, and accessories.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns efficiently and professionally.
Sales Support:
- Promote in-store sales and special offers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Assist customers with product recommendations and cross-selling to ensure they have the right equipment for their outdoor activities.
- Process transactions, including cash, card, and electronic payments accurately.
Stock Management:
- Assist with the receiving, sorting, and organization of inventory in the stockroom and on the sales floor.
- Monitor stock levels and report low stock or out-of-stock items to the Store Manager.
- Ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively, following visual merchandising guidelines.
Store Maintenance:
- Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Ensure all products are correctly labeled and priced.
- Assist with daily opening and closing duties, including store cleaning and equipment maintenance.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Store Manager and team members to achieve store targets and deliver excellent customer service.
- Participate in team meetings, product training sessions, and other activities to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
- A passion for the outdoors and knowledge of outdoor activities and equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-centric attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as needed.
