Location: Field (80%) and shop (20%) Reporting to the Retail Area Manager The position supervises Shop Manager, Sales Executives, Sales Agents

Job Purpose (summary)

As a Retail Supervisor, you will be driving the key metrics of the market: advising the management on the business model that makes sense for the specific market, grow the shop portfolio - by ensuring the acquisition of quality customers, drive sales, and support in the shop setup and operations. You need to be well versed in Wajir and its environs where you will have the opportunity to build and manage a network of Sales Executives and agents, technicians, and shop manager. This an opportunity given for very strong performers to build up the skills of a manager and potentially move up in the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the shop/market towards profitability (ROI) by ensuring that both action and acquisition costs are at acceptable norm
  • Create and maintain an incredible sales team
  • Meet the sales objectives through careful planning and motivating your team
  • Meet the operational standard we expect at the shop

Tasks

  • Hiring a team who are very effective sellers and good representatives of Bboxx

  • Onboarding & Training sales executives and sales agents to offer incomparable customer service

  • Managing the schedule of the sales team and motivating them to reach new heights

  • Supporting and coaching the sales teams in the field when needed (e.g., group presentations)

  • Monitoring sales team performance against objectives and take necessary actions

  • Organizing the sales network geographically

  • Responsible for shop manager and overall technician performance

  • Support the shop manager in managing the schedule of shop technicians and motivating them to reach new heights

  • Monitoring shop manager performance against objectives and take necessary actions

  • Responsible to implement a marketing strategy in coordination with the Retail Area Manager

  • Responsible for the operations at the shop

  • Supervise the Shop Manager, organize shop workflow

  • Report to the Retail Area Manager and overall management about the shop performance and results


Knowledge & General Skill Requirements of the Role

  • Accurate data entry and navigation of the Pulse system
  • Make outgoing calls to customers who are behind on payment plan, and follow up calls to those who have technical issues
  • Respond by phone to requests for help or information made through our SMS system
  • Escalate customer issues that are not easily solved by telephone
  • Make calls in accordance to all relevant sales and aftersales processes

Education and Qualifications

 

  • Have a university degree and at least 3 years of working experience
  • Have prior experience in sales management, we are not looking for the “striker” of a football team but for the head coach

  • Be willing to live in rural areas, the role is set in rural areas, you will be located at a shop which are in secondary towns
  • Be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
