Job Description (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); A kiosk is an informal convenience store selling everyday household items. Known locally by their vernacular names e.g. Duka in Kenya, Spaza in South Africa, Kantemba in Zambia. kiosk-type retail outlets are the cornerstone of African retail, accounting for over 60% of all retail trade flows. Despite their importance, kiosk-type retail outlets face significant challenges, including high cost of stock and unreliable delivery. Our digital ordering and delivery platform – Kyosk, ensures that these retail outlets get access to stock at competitive prices and have them delivered directly to them. FMCGs find the traditional distribution chain to be inadequate as well, making it expensive for them to serve kiosk-type retail outlets, leading to high incidences of product stock-outs and lost sales opportunities. By providing FMCGs with good data visibility, we solve this major problem of theirs. Role ProfileThe Risk Manager will be responsible for identifying and analyzing various risks, i.e. Operational, business, financial, etc), developing risk management controls and contingency plans and communicating recommendations to management. The Risk Manager will report to the Head, Global Internal Audit & Risk.Key Responsibilities: Together with senior management, develop and formalize a risk management strategy that aligns with Kyosk Digital Services (KDS)’s overall strategy, objectives and outcomes;In collaboration with relevant departments & subsidiaries create comprehensive risk assessments of the KDS ’s activities, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies as well as monitoring risk levels over time;Analyze the identified risks (e.g. operational, business, financial) and develop risk management controls and contingency plans;Review existing and proposed policies and procedures to eliminate or mitigate potential inherent risks in the processes and advice management on areas for improvements; Analyze data and current trends and make recommendations on emerging risks that could impair achievement of KDS objectives.Coordinate with Internal Controls & Process Optimization to document all risks in the Risk Registers and continuously update the registers with emerging risks;Coordinate organization-wide compliance monitoring, reporting and follow up on corrective actions;Assisting in establishing a follow-up mechanism on risk recommendations to that management has taken corrective action(s).Prepare reports and present risks recommendations to management and other stakeholders RequirementsMinimum Qualifications & Desired Skills: Bachelor’s degree in business related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.Professional certification in Risk Management, CRMA, CRM, CERP, etc. A second qualification, i.e CPA , CIA CISA, ACCA, will be an added advantageA member of professional risk management organization8 year’s experience with at least 3 years’ experience in managing risks preferably in FMCG Competencies & Key Skills: Detail orientation;Communication skills;Data Analysis;Results oriented;Self-driven professional;Team player;Project Management;Tech Savvy.
