Sales and Customer Service Clerk (Flower Exporter)– Naivasha, Kenya

Our client, a leading flower exporter in Naivasha is seeking to hire a Sales and Customer Service Clerk to support the sales team in various administrative tasks and customer service activities. This role involves managing orders, coordinating shipments, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will work closely with sales representatives, customers, and other internal departments to facilitate the smooth export of flowers. The ideal candidate MUST have at least 3 years sales or customer service experience preferably in the flower export industry, a relevant bachelorâs degree and proven record of meeting targets.

Key Responsibilities

Receive and process customer orders for flower exports. Verify order accuracy, including product type, quantity, pricing, and delivery details. Coordinate with customers to confirm orders and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Respond to customer inquiries and provide information about flower products, pricing, and shipment schedules. Address customer concerns and resolve problems in a professional and timely manner. Work with logistics and shipping departments to schedule and track flower shipments. Ensure that export documentation is complete and accurate, including permits, certificates, and invoices. Assist sales representatives with administrative tasks, such as preparing sales reports, quotations, and presentations. Maintain customer databases and update contact information. Monitor shipment progress and update customers on delivery status. Generate invoices for customers and follow up on payment status. Process payments and record transactions accurately. Ensure that flower products meet quality standards and specifications before export. Coordinate with the quality control team to address any issues.

Qualifications

Relevant business-related Degree. MUST have at least 3 years sales or customer service experience preferably in the flower export industry and a proven record of meeting targets. MUST have impeccable communication and interpersonal skills. Self-driven, focused and goal oriented. Proficiency in using office software and tools, such as Microsoft Office. Knowledge of export regulations and documentation is an advantage. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and multitask effectively.
