Job Vacancy: Sales Assistant
The Sales Assistant is responsible for delivering best-in-class Vivo brand and customer experience, and ensuring that the company’s growth and revenue targets are achieved.
The job holder will be tasked with ensuring that ALL customers receive exceptional service at the retail outlets, and that the outlets are maintained to high Visual and Housekeeping standards.
They will also be involved in carrying out all necessary processes and activities related to revenue collection , management of inventory and other assets held at the store.
This is a customer-facing role that requires a confident, eloquent, well-presented and enthusiastic person who is passionate about service, pays attention to detail and has the ability to take initiative and work well within a team.
Responsibilities
- Achieve individual and store sales targets across key retail KPIs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming store atmosphere.
- Support the achievement of customer satisfaction and NPS targets.
- Manage petty cash and general store administrative tasks.
- Handle customer calls and resolve feedback and complaints promptly.
- Drive sales through personalized customer engagement, upselling, and cross-selling.
- Support store promotions, activations, and loyalty programs.
- Maintain store cleanliness, grooming standards, and health & safety compliance.
- Operate the POS system efficiently and issue ETIMS receipts.
- Ensure high visual merchandising and product presentation standards.
- Provide styling advice and product knowledge to enhance the customer experience.
- Monitor stock levels, participate in stock counts, and prevent stock loss.
- Provide feedback on product performance and customer preferences.
- Support Shop Zetu online order fulfillment and promote online shopping.
- Assist in onboarding and training new team members.
- Foster teamwork and continuous learning in sales and customer service skills
Professional/ Academic Background
- Diploma in Fashion & Design, Sales and Customer Experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a retail fashion environment, customer facing and sales role.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Strong selling skills (upselling, cross-selling)
- Planning, organizing & time management
- Inventory Management & Visual Merchandising
- Strong communication and persuasion skills
- Strong team player - able to gain trust, respect and confidence quickly and effectively
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office
