COCOLILI, a contemporary African fashion and lifestyle brand, is seeking a driven Sales Manager to lead our showroom and sales team. This role involves overseeing showroom operations, managing and training the sales team, and building strong relationships with stockists and exploring new sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Showroom
Management & Sales Leadership
- Oversee daily operations of the showroom and lead the sales team in delivering exceptional customer service.
- Develop and implement monthly sales targets for the team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Recruit, train, and mentor new sales associates, fostering a collaborative and high-performing sales culture.
- Continuously assess and improve showroom processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure proper management of inventory, including bi-monthly stock counts and reconciliation with sales reports.
- Handle financial transactions, including POS systems, cash handling, and banking of showroom sales.
- Business
Development & Outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with hotels, lodges, and luxury safari camps where COCOLILI products are stocked, ensuring strong partnerships and regular restocking.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including partnerships with additional retail outlets, boutiques, and hospitality venues.
- Represent COCOLILI in meetings with potential clients to explore further expansion and collaboration opportunities.
- Promote the brand by attending networking events, fashion shows, and industry gatherings to increase brand visibility.
- Customer
Service Excellence
- Serve customers with a high sense of urgency, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- Provide in-depth knowledge of COCOLILI’s products, including fabrics and fashion trends, and offer tailored product recommendations.
- Promote in-store specials, loyalty programs, and campaigns to increase customer engagement.
- Sales
Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor sales performance, analyzing data and trends to adjust strategies as needed.
- Prepare regular sales reports for the Managing Director, offering insights and recommendations for future growth.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in Business, Fashion, or a related field.
- 5+ years of retail sales experience, with at least 2 years in a showroom manager or supervisory role.
- Proven experience working with luxury or high-end fashion brands is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Google Sheets, Excel, POS systems (Pesapal), and Shopify.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess performance metrics and drive improvements.
- Passion for fashion, with a keen interest in merchandising and styling.
- Passport a plus, as occasional travel may be required for business development opportunities.
Additional Requirements
- Valid national ID/Passport, PIN, and Certificate of Good Conduct (Police Clearance).
- Must be willing to travel locally and internationally for business development opportunities.
