Job Title: Sales & Marketing Manager (Tourism)
Work Location: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Working Hours: Full time, 8 hrs a day on weekdays and half day on Saturdays. Must be flexible to work even during holidays or when needed.
Work Contract: Hybrid setup: May work remotely from time to time
Remuneration: Ksh 70,000 Gross (negotiable) + Medical cover + Accommodation + 3 meals a day + Regular trainings

Emboo River Camp is recruiting a Sales & Marketing Manager to strengthen the team. The Marketing and Sales team is at the forefront of sharing Emboo River's story and identity with potential guests, travel companies, media partners, sustainability leaders, and others. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Marketing & Sales professional who is:
- Motivated to lead a strong team and to be a team player within Emboo River
- Passionate about travel and sustainability and sharing this experience with guests
- Outgoing, with the ability to bring to life the Emboo River brand in a way that is consistent with our vision
- Well-versed in the travel industry
- Comfortable with a hands-on environment that involves supporting end-to-end campaign execution
- Organized with project management skills and attention to detail
- Well-versed in the topics of sustainability, community empowerment, and nature conservation
- Customer minded and always thinking about how our customers interact with the Emboo River experiences
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement short and long-term marketing strategies to meet sales team goals and annual sales targets
- Evaluate market trends to determine pricing to balance costs, competition, and supply and demand
- Actively seek new business using marketing campaigns, site visits, and other methods
- Organize and manage events and partnerships to deepen connections with business targets and markets
- Generate new business while also increasing customer loyalty
- Prepare accurate and complete sales reports documenting marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outline marketing plans
- Consult with the Emboo River team to evaluate the company's performance
- Act as a point of contact for marketing and sales
Candidate Requirements:
- 7+ years of managerial experience as a Sales and Marketing Manager, preferably in a fast-paced oriented environment
- Previous experience in the sales and reservations department in the hospitality industry is a plus (advantage)
- Candidates should be Kenyan nationals, not ex-pats
- Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply
- You should be creative, able to think outside the box and a team player
- Working hours: 8 hours a day on weekdays, half day on Saturdays. There is a hybrid setup and you may work remotely from time to time.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or similar, and a demonstrated ability in quantitative fields
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- The ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
- Gross salary is Ksh 70,000 (negotiable)- inclusive of accommodation, meals, and a medical cover
- You should be willing to attend regular training sessions for upskilling purposes
- You should be willing to be based at Maasai Mara.
- You should be flexible to work at the stated working schedule
