6.  JOB SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

1.    Building out our sales strategy, sales projection reports, and sales pipeline.
2.    Monitoring sales performance with the goal of expanding our market share.
3.    Collaboratively coordinating with distributors and internal sales team( and thus one is required to be collaborative in nature to succeed in this coordination)
4.    Developing sales targets and taking responsibility for the department’s performance

8.  JOB SPECIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE

1.    Business Degree/Diploma in a relevant field (Sales, Marketing)
2.    Minimum 3-4 Years’ experience in a similar position in the FMCG category
3.    Professional qualification in a related field would be an added advantage
4.    Computer Literacy with ability to use Ms office suite.

KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES(State skills, abilities & traits required)
1.    Driving skills and holder of a valid driving license class BCE.
2.    Good product knowledge
3.    Basic coaching skills
4.    Assertive, good negotiation skills and basic to advanced selling skills
5.    Conflict handling skills  and demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
6.    Analytical  with good numerical skills
7.    Creative and innovative
8.    Be result -orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
9.    High degree of integrity and strong ethics
10.    Knowledge on merchandising standards with good display building skills
11.    Possess excellent verbal, written communication and  interpersonal skills

9.  DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
List duties under two separate headings: REGULAR DUTIES AND PERIODIC DUTIES.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1.    Coordinate, monitor and follow-up of day-to-day sales activities between the company and customers, i.e. follow up on orders, confirming deliveries, follow-up on payments  to ensure proceeds from sales are collected on time.
2.    Carry out market surveys on emerging market trends in respect of our products and those of our competitors and submit reports to the management.
3.    Conduct regular checks in the market to ensure our products are sold at the recommended prices, and educate the customers on the importance of such requirements/regulations
4.    Carry out product quality surveys between our products and those of our competitors and report appropriately and timely for quick action
5.    Obtain and relay customer feedback in relation to product quality and service delivery
6.    Make regular visits to all customers to advise them on how to improve sales, minimize returns and empower them to lodge complaints whenever issues arise
7.    Allocate depots to new operators and monitor day-to-day performance of distributors
8.    Organize meetings between distributors and management to discuss issues affecting distribution and sales for our products

REGULAR DUTIES/ADMINISTRATIVE/OPERATIONAL DUTIES
1.    Maintain close contact with customers in order to handle any complaints, attend to any problem areas in relation to product quality , service delivery, expiries and the conduct of our crew and staff and maintain excellent relations to sustain customer loyalty and business continuity.
2.    Prepare and submit  reports for timely decision making:
a) Daily route visit reports
b) Monthly sales/mileage performance reports
c) Customer Data
d) Customer Complaints & resolving of arising conflicts
3.    Carry out spot-checks on our delivery vehicles to ensure strict adherence to rules and regulations governing the routes, timings, cleanliness and hygiene of the crew, and carrying of unauthorized passengers or goods
4.    Educate and highlight to our crew the importance and benefits of good public relations and diplomacy when dealing with our distributors, customers and the entire public
5.    Make regular review of routes within the area of jurisdiction to ensure that the routes are efficient.
6.    Ensure that all government branding and distribution licenses, permits and certificates required along the routes are in place and up to date
7.    Participates in trade and agricultural shows to showcase company products.

PERIODIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Capture and Report data on the following:
a)    All Mini Shops vendors and their average daily take off
b)    Customer Data per route in your respective territory
c)    Average crates sold per route per day
d)    Average Kilometers covered per route per day
e)    Start and end delivery time of each route per day
f)    Start and end time of collection of each route per day
g)    Challenges faced on delivery and collection  on each route
h)    Inter-branch competition

DELIVERABLES
1.    Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by developing sales methodologies that persuade customers to purchase our various products.
2.    Commissioning new routes at designated territory.
3.    Building an effective sales crew team under designated territory
4.    Prospecting-recruiting of new customers and new sales channels

1.    The job requires flexibility –may involve irregular working hours,
2.    Job requires working in varying locations.
