6.  JOB SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

1.    Building our key accounts strategy, sales projection reports, and sales pipeline.
2.    Monitoring sales performance with the goal of expanding our market share.
3.    Collaboratively coordinating with outlets and internal relevant production units ( and thus one is required to be collaborative in nature to succeed in this coordination)
4.    Developing sales targets and taking responsibility for the department’s performance

8.  JOB SPECIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE

1.    Business Degree/Diploma in a relevant field (Sales, Marketing)
2.    Minimum 3-4 Years’ experience in a similar position in the FMCG category
3.    Professional qualification in a related field would be an added advantage
4.    Computer Literacy with ability to use Ms office suite.

KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES(State skills, abilities & traits required)
1.    Driving skills and holder of a valid driving license class BCE.
2.    Good product knowledge
3.    Basic coaching skills
4.    Assertive, good negotiation skills and basic to advanced selling skills
5.    Conflict handling skills  and demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
6.    Analytical  with good numerical skills
7.    Creative and innovative
8.    Be result -orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
9.    High degree of integrity and strong ethics
10.    Knowledge on merchandising standards with good display building skills
11.    Possess excellent verbal, written communication and  interpersonal skills

9.  DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Coordinate, monitor and follow-up of day-to-day sales activities between the company and outlets, i.e. follow up on orders, confirming deliveries, follow-up on payments  to ensure proceeds from sales are collected on time.
2.    Carry out market surveys on emerging market trends in respect of our products and those of our competitors and submit reports to the management.
3.    Conduct regular checks in outlets to ensure our products are sold at the recommended prices, and educate the customers on the importance of such requirements/regulations
4.    Carry out product quality surveys between our products and those of our competitors and report appropriately and timely for quick action
5.    Obtain and relay customer feedback in relation to product quality and service delivery
6.    Make regular visits to all outlets to advise them on how to improve sales, minimize returns and empower them to lodge complaints whenever issues arise
7.    Enhance stronger relationships at outlets
8.    Ensure correct displays of products at outlets
9.    Monitor quality of products across outlets
10.    Ensure timely deliveries of products to outlets

REGULAR DUTIES/ADMINISTRATIVE/OPERATIONAL DUTIES
11.    Establish suitable periodic timings for:
a)    In store promotions
b)    Combo Promotions (Identify relevant partners)
c)    Look out for events within institutions
12.    Carry out spot-checks on our delivery vehicles to ensure strict adherence to rules and regulations governing the outlets, timings, cleanliness and hygiene of the crew, and carrying of unauthorized passengers or goods
13.    Educate and highlight our crew the importance and benefits of good public relations and diplomacy when dealing with our customers and the entire public
14.    Ensure that all government branding and distribution licenses, permits and certificates required along the routes are in place and up to date

PERIODIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1.    Prepare and submit  reports for timely decision making:
a) Outlets performance Data
b) Customer Complaints & resolving of arising conflicts
c) Merchandising activities
d) Report on target performance
e) Competitor Analysis
f) Monthly Sales
g) Follow up on payments

ANY OTHER FACTORS
1.    The job requires flexibility –may involve irregular working hours,
2.    Job requires working in varying locations.

DELIVERABLES
1.    Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by developing sales methodologies that persuade higher off take of our various products.
2.    Listing of our products (new and existing) to current and new outlets.
3.    Building an effective merchandising team under designated region
4.    Prospecting-recruiting of new outlets and new sales channels
5.    Map out outlets that can enter into Joint Business Plans viable to the company.
6.    Establish avenues of increasing uptake of products at outlets and increase of revenue
